You'll notice that the sound of the mp3 or the CD will be greatly improved over the cassette or record. The background noise will diminish as the audio of the cassette is improved. Once the cassette is digitized, noise filters are used to remove hissing and crackling sounds. The vocal levels of the cassette tape are raised to allow a balancing of the audio level on the CD, mp3 or other file format.
