You'll notice that the sound of the mp3 or the CD will be greatly improved over the cassette or record. When the sound of the audio is improved, the other noises are diminished. When digitized, the noise filters applied will reduce any humming or crackling still being heard. The vocal levels of the cassette are elevated to permit a balancing of the audio level on the digitized file format.
