With a digitized cassette, noise filters are applied to decrease any unwanted background sounds. The vocal levels of the cassette tape are raised to allow a balancing of the audio level on the digital file format.

AV Conversion Services will convert all types of video tapes to DVD to protect and preserve them for you. VHS and video tape quality degrades rapidly over time and use. A change in color or sound, or maybe Sticky Tape Syndrome, would indicate a loss of video quality. So transferring your videos and VHS tapes to DVDs is a smart move, before they're ruined completely. DVDs maintain their performance for a long time, but it is recommended that you get a back up of your DVD, because they can get lost or broken.

Commercial scanning machines (our own) used in-house are applied to all film transfer jobs. Certain scanners are able to reproduce sound bites of the films while the RetroScan machines scan any type of silent film regardless of torn sprocket holes. With time, colors on a film will decline. With our in-house transfer Film Transfer, we will make corrections in the contrast and brightness. By adjusting brightness and contrast, clarity will emerge in your film. Extras we provide for free are some titles and free lubrication. Because the newest commercial machines are used at AV Conversion Services, we can determine where the film weaknesses are. Once your film is received, a cleaning and lubrication is completed in preparation for the next step. Damage is inspected and repairs are made to faulty splicing, also adding leaders to the beginning and end. CONVERT VHS CASSETTE TAPES TO MP4 FILES
AV Conversion Services can digitize your VHS, Hi 8, Nini DV, Camcorder and VHS-c video tapes to premium quality MP4 files. Compatible MP4 files can be run or even edited on almost every kind of computer. Plus – they can be imported with today's software programs. This type of digital file can be uploaded to AV sharing sites or even to smart TVs for immediate viewing.
Once we receive your Camcorder, VHS, Hi 8, and Mini DV videos, we want to collect information to complete the order to your expectations. We'd number each tape then digitalize it into an MP4 file. Once complete, we send your files to you on a USB Flash Drive or Hard Drive with the originals. You can then plug the drive into your computer and enjoy.
